2013 was an awesome year on Howell Mountain. A dry early spring got the vines started early with an even fruit set.  The growing season was warm with only one hot spell in late June. This allowed us to harvest our Howell Mountain Estate grown fruit at ideal ripeness, producing wines with great layers and balance.

Winemaker's Notes: Our 2013 Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon has plenty of dark fruit, berries and plums complexed with cardamom spice and hints of cedar. The rich body is complimented with well-structured tannins that are big and smooth. This Cabernet Sauvignon has flavors of berries and cassis with a little oak and earth. The long berry finish has a hint of tannin at the end.

Gives an instant impression of ripe, attractive, mountain cabernet fruit with blueberries and cassis threaded through the palate and a succulent, fine and refreshing finish. Exceptional energy here.
